Information we collect
We collect the information you choose to provide, including your name, work email, organisation, role, interests, geographic scope, approximate portfolio or programme scale and the decision you describe. Technical information needed to operate and protect the website may also be processed.
Purpose and lawful basis
We use enquiry information to respond to your request and manage the resulting professional correspondence. We rely on your consent to process a submitted enquiry. Where relevant, processing may also support steps requested before an agreement or legitimate interests in managing business correspondence, subject to applicable law. We do not treat an enquiry as consent to marketing.
Sharing and access
Access is limited to the people and service providers needed to handle the enquiry and operate the website. Information may also be disclosed where required by law. Institutional datasets are subject to separately agreed purposes, permitted uses, access and handling arrangements.
Retention
Initial enquiry records are retained for 90 days. Records needed for an agreed engagement, a legal obligation or an ongoing dispute follow a separate retention schedule communicated for that purpose.
Cookies, logs and measurement
The website uses technical functions needed for operation, form security and administration. External services have their own privacy information. Optional first-party measurement is described below. Other optional measurement or marketing services require an updated notice before introduction.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your information, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out before it. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity.
We aim to respond within 30 days after receiving the request and any information reasonably needed to verify it. If additional time is lawfully required, we will explain why and provide the applicable timeline.
Complaints
Contact Meridian first if you have a privacy concern. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Confidential institutional information
Please do not submit credentials, confidential portfolio records or personal data about farmers through the public enquiry form. Agree an appropriate sharing process before providing institutional datasets.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when our purposes, providers or data practices change. The date above identifies the current website version.
Website measurement
Optional website measurement is currently disabled. Hosting and security services can maintain operational logs independently of this setting.
